HCi operates a range of optical discount agreements with many optical stores and optical dispensers across Australia, for the benefit of eligible HCi members with Extras cover.
One of these agreements is with Eyebenefit, who operate as an optical buying group for many independent owner-operated optical stores and optical dispensers. HCi’s optical agreement with Eyebenefit provided for certain discounts on products and/or services for HCi members.
In March 2024, Eyebenefit informed us that they decided not to renew the optical discount agreement we have with them, and that this agreement will therefore cease to operate with effect from 30 April 2024.
Unfortunately, this means that any discounts that HCi members might have enjoyed with an Eyebenefit affiliated optical store will no longer apply after 1 May 2024. Any other optical arrangements in place for HCi members are not affected by this change.
