We know that rapid antigen tests (or RATs or even RAT kits) are an important health screening tool that many of our members may have to purchase in certain circumstances.
While rapid antigen tests are in short supply in many parts of Australia at the moment, we’re always thinking ahead about how we can better support and help HCi members.
HCi will now pay an additional benefit, up to the value of $25, towards the purchase of a rapid antigen test, for eligible* HCi members with Extras cover (or a Hospital and Extras package).
The rapid antigen test benefit is a once only offer and is available for a test purchased between 1 January 2022 and 30 June 2022. Members can purchase their rapid antigen test kit from any registered supplier in Australia. Then submit the claim, including a receipt (or other proof of purchase), by email or the HCi Claims App (download from Play Store or App Store), or by visiting our Burnie office.
* This benefit is only available to HCi members who have an Extras policy (or Hospital and Extras package), have served the 2-month waiting period for Extras services before purchase of the RAT, and where premium payments are up-to-date. Benefits are strictly limited to one RAT purchase for Singles policy holders and a maximum of two RATs for Couples and Family policies.
This benefit expires 30 June 2022.
