Why get the flu vaccine
Getting the flu vaccine is a way to protect yourself against getting the flu. It is especially important for people with a higher risk for developing severe complications from the flu, such as young children, the elderly, and those with certain medical conditions. While the flu vaccine may not offer complete protection against all flu strains, it has been shown to reduce the severity and duration of symptoms in many cases.
The flu vaccine can help prevent the spread of the flu to others. By getting vaccinated, individuals are less likely to get sick and spread the virus to those around them.
The flu vaccine won’t protect you against COVID-19. But having the flu could make you more vulnerable to catching COVID or have to miss out on things due to COVID-like symptoms. Besides, who wants to risk having COVID and the flu at the same time!
