Why get the flu vaccine
By getting the flu vaccine, you can avoid getting sick, feeling miserable and missing school or work.
As many people didn’t get a flu vaccine last year and our borders are reopening, health leaders are indicating 2022 could be a bad year for the flu. Which makes it a good year to get a flu vaccine!
The flu vaccine won’t protect you against COVID-19. But having the flu could make you more vulnerable to catching COVID or have to miss out on things due to COVID-like symptoms. Besides, who wants to risk having COVID and the flu at the same time!
Flu vaccination also helps protect other people, especially those who are too sick or young to be vaccinated. The more vaccinated people in your community, the less likely the flu spreads.
