HCi updates hospital agreement in Toowoomba

Nov 13, 2025HCi news

HCi is committed to providing members with access to the best medical care possible. We have over 500 hospital agreements across Australia. This includes agreements in places in northern Queensland, like Toowoomba Private Day Hospital (TPDH).

However, from 2 February 2026, our current hospital agreement with Toowoomba Private Day Hospital will terminate at their request. While this affects very few of our members, it is important to understand the implications of using this hospital after the agreement ends.

What you need to know about this hospital agreement ending

TPDH’s termination of this agreement means you will likely have out-of-pocket expenses for any treatment at their hospital.  However, some transitional arrangements will apply to HCi members with any pre-booked hospital procedures.

If you expect to require treatment at TPDH, especially after 2 February 2026, you should discuss the matter with your surgeon/specialist. Make sure you can understand the additional costs of using this hospital, relative to alternative hospitals in the Toowoomba area.

As always, if you have any questions about this hospital agreement change or your HCi membership in general, please contact our friendly team on 1800 804 905 or via HCi Chat.
